I suppose all of the "Creole Spices" and "Creole Seasoning" should be considered racist and pulled from the shelves, too? I would really hate to see all of the wonderful Creole food from that time period disappear from the menus and tables of Americans. People should embrace their ancestry, then learn from the mistakes of the past in order to not repeat them in the present or the future. This sort of political correctness for the sake of political correctness or somebody's ego just has to stop. I am more Native American than anything else, yet that side of my family's history was hidden from our generation due to the stigma of being a Native American during the lifetime of the two generations before mine. That is a crying shame and so are attempts to remove the word "Creole" from store shelves or our language. Just buy the damn cookies and enjoy them with a glass of milk!
